While we love to concentrate on the Vampires, the club would be nothing without the help, support and even opposition provided by the following bodies:
Muswell Hill (Youth) F.C.
Formed by chairman Darren Herbert in 1997 MHFC has grown from running just one team to offering coaching and league football to children from 8 to 18 years of age regardless of race, financial standing or ability. For season 2008-09 the club has introduced its first girls team - the Muswell Hill Vampires! Please visit th MHFC website for more information about the club or, if you or someone you know might be interested in joining go direct to the 'Join MHFC' page.
KFC Rood-Wit (Wilrijk)
The Vampires having been travelling to the Antwerp suburb of Wilrijk since 1969 to contest the annual International Paastornoi hosted by K.F.C. Rood-Wit. Our friends in Belgium never fail to provide outstanding hospitality and we are treated like royalty each time we visit.
For more information about Rood-Wit and to see their wide array of embarrassing photographs of drunken Vampires (including some of our 3rd XI captain dancing with a 7ft transvetite!) visit their website.
The Southern Amateur League
Every Saturday from September to May the Vampires field 8 teams in the Southern Amateur League. This has been going on since the foundation of the League in 1907 and down the years the club has built up some strong friendships and even stronger rivalries. Like the Vampires, the SAL is run entirely by amateurs who give large amounts of their spare time over to making sure clubs like ours have league and cup competitions to contest.
The Amateur Football Alliance
Like the SAL the AFA was founded in 1907 during the split between amateurs and professionals. The Vampires were founder members and have remained in membership ever since. The AFA are responsible for governance of our football which includes fining us when we kick people too often, and also helping clubs like the Vampires to achieve Charter status. As with clubs and Leagues, the Alliance relies heavily on volunteers who devote their evenings to making sure our game runs properly.
The London Borough of Haringey
We are working closely with our local council to ensure that the club caters for as wide a section of the community as possible. The Recreation Services team have provided support and advice to the club in exchange for the use of our club house as a venue for meetings between the council and community groups. It is hoped that with Haringey's support the Vampires can grow and become a sporting and social ammenity for people from all sections of the community.
