Race Night

​This Race Night will involve you in a light-hearted contest in which your aim, through betting on the outcome of the of a series of exciting horse races, is to gain winnings and make money for the club.

Before each race you should study the form of all eight horses then decide how you wish to place your bets. When ready, visit the betting desk and tell the bookie which horses you wish to bet on. You will receive a ticket for the horses you bet on, each ticket costs £1. You can buy up to five tickets in one race.

If your horse wins, visit the betting desk, they will pay you out. How much you get is determined on the odds of the wining horse and how many tickets you bought. For example, if you backed a horse, bought three tickets and the odds were 7/1, you would get a return of £21. Make a mental note of the colours of the silks worn by your chosen horse’s jockey....then watch the race!

Tickets to attend Race Night are £5 each or you can pay at the door.
